Step-by-step:
InfoDrainage uses phase management to track how a hydraulic design passes through different stages, or phases, from initial pre-development calculations through to the final design.
Phases are also used when a design may need to have several different possible solutions. In other words, your starting model may branch off into other scenarios as you explore solutions to the problem. Each of these solutions is saved as its own phase. Multiple phases can be saved in the same .iddx file.
- In the Tree View, expand the Phase Management node.
- Expand the Storm node.
- Right-click the SurfaceNetwork1 (current) phase and select Duplicate Phase.
- Right-click the duplicate phase (Surface Network1 (1)) and select Rename Phase.
- In the now-active Tree View field, type “Pond Design” as the new phase name.
- Press ENTER.
- Expand the Phase Selector drop-down. You can now select either phase from here.
Note that any edits you make in the model will impact the currently selected phase in the Tree View.
- Click the light bulb next to Surface Network1 to turn it OFF.
- Click the green GO icon next to the default network; it changes to a red STOP icon.
Be aware that this network still exists in the background, but it will no longer be analyzed.
