You can create a setup sheet for your project using an NC program operation.
00:08
Setup sheets are saved to the cloud and can be accessed through your Fusion web client.
00:14
Anyone associated with your team hub will be able to view or comment on the setup sheet.
00:20
Once you have an NC program operation created, in the Browser, right-click the operation and select Setup Sheet.
00:28
This opens the Publish Setup Sheet dialog.
00:31
By default, the setup sheet has the same name as your NC program file, but you can enter a new name, such as “Intro to 2D Machining”.
00:41
You can also set the Data Panel folder in which to save the setup sheet.
00:46
Click the down arrow next to the Location field to expand the dialog box.
00:51
Now, you see a Project list on the left, with the contents of the currently selected Project folder on the right.
00:58
You can create a New Folder inside the current project, or you can create a New Project.
01:04
For this example, create a new project for setup sheets.
01:09
Click New Project, add a name of “Setup Sheets”, and then press Enter.
01:15
Double-click the new project as the new setup sheet location.
01:20
Click Save to create the setup sheet.
01:22
In the setup sheet preview that opens, the Configuration drop-down enables you to select from several standard layout configurations.
01:31
In this case, keep the detailed Default configuration.
01:35
The top section, Summary, shows a banner indicating that the program uses multiple WCS systems, along with additional information.
01:44
These details include the NC program comment, the original Fusion document name,
01:50
the number of operations and tools, as well as the cycle time.
01:55
The next section contains a Tools list that you can scroll through for details,
01:60
or you can click the title bar to collapse it.
02:03
The Setup section has information about the stock size and part size,
02:07
and finally, the Operations section shows details about each operation.
02:12
You can print the setup sheet by clicking the Print icon in the upper right of the dialog.
02:18
Close the setup sheet by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
02:23
On the Application bar, click the Job Status icon, then click View Job Status.
02:30
The Job Status dialog reports that the setup sheet has been created and uploaded with a Status of Complete.
02:37
Click Close.
02:39
Now, click Show Data Panel to open the Data Panel.
02:43
Double-click to open the Setup Sheets project folder.
02:47
Here you can see the Fusion Setup sheet document that you just created, with a FSSD file extension.
02:54
Double-click the file to open the setup sheet in the Fusion web client.
02:58
On the Overview page, you can see the FSSD file, and in the Design References section, Uses tab,
03:05
you see the file that was used when creating the setup sheet.
03:09
Switch to the View tab to see the contents of the setup sheet.
03:14
As in Fusion, you can use the Configuration drop-down to change the format of the data shown.
03:20
Cycle through the options to see if there is one that fits your needs better than the default configuration.
03:26
Again, as in the Fusion preview, you can collapse each section by clicking the section title.
03:32
In the upper right of the View tab, there are several other useful options.
03:37
Click Comment to add a comment about the setup sheet.
03:41
Download enables you to save a copy of the FSSD file to your local system.
03:46
Click Share to open the Share dialog, where you can select and deselect sharing for the file.
03:52
You can use Copy Link to paste it into an email or document for others to open the file online.
03:59
You can use E-mail to send a link directly to someone with a message.
04:04
Or you can use an Embed code to insert it into a web page.
04:08
Regardless of the method used to share the file, you can add additional security by requiring a password to access the file with the link.
04:17
Click Close.
04:19
Now that the setup sheet is in your Fusion hub folder,
04:22
anyone on your team with access to your files can also access the setup sheet, enabling easier collaboration.
