So now let's make the attributes control the hierarchy.
00:07
So we can control what's visible and what's not.
00:10
And we can do this with the attributes we added to the main root control,
00:15
open the connection editor
00:18
and lured the root control into the left side.
00:22
So down here, we can see all of our custom attributes.
00:26
First, let's set up the face attribute.
00:30
All we need to do is connect these to the
00:32
groups here which will show or hide those controls.
00:37
This creature doesn't really have a face rig,
00:39
but we can use this to show or hide the eye controls instead
00:44
select the eyes group
00:45
and load it into the right side.
00:48
OK? Let's disable non cable. So we are just left with the main attributes
00:53
that's better.
00:55
And all we need to do is connect it to the visibility attribute.
00:59
So there the controls have vanished,
01:02
but we can control this now with this attribute.
01:06
OK. Let's do the same with the body attribute
01:09
and connect that to the torso group's visibility attribute.
01:14
Now the arms,
01:16
so connect that to the armed groups
01:20
and finally the legs.
01:23
There we go.
01:27
OK.
01:27
So next, we simply make the geometry attribute control,
01:30
the geometry group's visibility
01:33
and the blend shapes attribute can you guess
01:36
controls the blend shapes group?
01:40
You can probably guess what the rig systems and skeleton attributes control.
01:43
Now too.
01:47
There we go.
01:49
Now, this is very easy to set up,
01:52
but the animator can now quickly show and hide parts of
01:54
the rig so they can focus more as they animate.
01:58
These aren't just for the animators though,
01:60
as they will help us as we continue to build the rig.
