Add heel twist, toe twist, and toe tap attributes, to pivot the foot from the toes or heel, and to move the toes up and down.
Transcript
00:03
First, we need some more attributes.
00:05
So create three new float attributes called heel, twist
00:10
to twist
00:11
and to tap.
00:15
Now open the connection editor.
00:18
The foot IK control automatically loads into the left side for us.
00:23
Let's look at the reverse heel and see which attribute we'll twist it
00:27
rotate. Why?
00:28
OK.
00:30
Load the heel joint into the right side of the connection editor.
00:33
And all we are going to do is connect the heel twist attribute
00:37
to the heel joints rotate Y attribute
00:40
as easy as that.
00:42
OK, let's check the toe joint
00:45
looks like we need rotate Y too.
00:47
So the toe twists,
00:49
load the reverse to into the connection editor
00:53
and connect to a twist
00:55
to rotate. Why?
00:57
So now we can pivot the foot from the tour
01:01
and also from the heel,
01:03
the toe tap takes a little bit more work to set up.
01:07
This time, we need to control the IK handles so they move up and down,
01:11
rotating the toes
01:13
first, clean the values on the two end
01:16
handles. So we have zero transforms
01:22
now connect to tap
01:24
to the translate Z attributes.
01:27
This will make them move up and down.
01:31
Now if you wanted to, you could set this up.
01:33
So you had two attributes, one for each tour
01:36
or maybe include one so the tours can spread too.
01:39
So move side to side.
01:42
Once you have the main reverse foot set up,
01:44
you can add as many extra finishing touches as you like.
