With robot structural analysis, you can generate load combinations

00:08

to ensure a structure will remain stable and resist multiple loads

00:13

to create a new manual load combination.

00:16

After opening a project with defined geometry of a structure

00:20

and loads acting on it

00:22

from the text menu,

00:24

select loads manual combinations.

00:28

The combination definition modification dialogue displays

00:33

from here,

00:34

you can alter the combination number type and name

00:39

select. OK.

00:41

The combination's dialogue displays

00:44

from here

00:45

define the components and factors of the combinations

00:49

you can use either automatic multipliers or assign multipliers manually

00:55

from the case list,

00:57

select a case number.

00:59

In this instance,

01:00

the dead load is selected

01:03

next in the factor field. Enter one

01:06

and then click the arrow

01:08

to add the selected load case to the list of cases. In combination.

01:13

Now select the snow load

01:16

in the factor field,

01:18

enter 0.75

01:21

and then click the arrow to add the selected load case to the list of cases.

01:26

Continue this process for each load case. In

01:30

this example,

01:31

wind two is assigned 0.75

01:35

and the live load is assigned one

01:39

once finished select apply,

01:43

then click new

01:45

to begin creating another load case combination,

01:49

the combination definition modification, dialogue displays

01:53

expand the combination type drop down

01:56

and select SLS

01:58

click. OK.

02:00

The combination dialogue updates

02:03

with the new combination displayed

02:06

again,

02:07

select case numbers

02:09

assign multipliers or use automatic multipliers

02:14

and then

02:15

add them to the list of cases. In combination

02:19

when finished click apply

02:22

and then click close

02:25

from the tool bar.

02:26

Expand the case's drop down.
