Manufacture > Turning (tab) > Turning > Turning Groove
Turning Groove is a toolpath strategy removes material from a channel, by creating a plunging motion. It can rough and finish the area using groove tools. Grooving can be performed on the Outside Diameter (OD), Inside Diameter (ID), face, or even an angled area, by adjusting the Tool Orientation parameter. You can contain the toolpath area by using geometry containment boundaries and set the Maximum Grooving Stepover cut amount. The Use Pecking parameters can reduce the material load on the tool, by taking multiple depth cuts.
