In InfraWorks Mobility Simulation, you can create various types of reports to organize and review simulation results.
00:11
You can save these reports as XLS or CSV files, to be shared or printed as needed.
00:18
Begin with an InfraWorks Mobility Simulation model open.
00:23
For this example, a previously defined multimodal train simulation is shown.
00:28
The first thing you need to do is to configure where the results will be saved.
00:34
From the ribbon, expand the Reporting drop-down, which includes a list of reporting types.
00:40
In this case, click Results.
00:42
This opens the Results dialog, where you can configure the type of results, results timing, summary tables, and tools.
00:51
Save No Results is the default, because most results are dynamic and update as the simulation progresses.
00:58
If you want digital or printed results, you must choose a file type and a point in the simulation, and then manually save the results.
01:07
For this example, enable Save as XLS files in Resources.
01:12
This activates other configuration options for you to select from.
01:17
For this example, under Tools/Plugins, enable JPEG Snapshots.
01:23
Click Close.
01:25
Reporting results are saved in the Results folder within your model folder.
01:30
In this case, the Results folder is in the Train_sim_test_Resources folder and is currently empty.
01:37
Now, with the results file type and location specified, you can create a report.
01:43
From the ribbon, select Reporting > Service Vehicle Trips to open the Service Vehicle Trips dialog.
01:50
In the matrix, reporting criteria are listed under Measure, and the results columns are blank, because the simulation is not playing.
01:59
In the Traffic Analyst panel, on the Simulation tab, click Play to run the simulation,
02:04
and you now see results dynamically updating in the matrix as the simulation progresses.
02:10
To choose the point at which you want to create the report, after letting it run for several seconds, click Pause.
02:17
Then, in the Service Vehicle Trips dialog box, click Save.
02:22
To view the results, open your Results folder, and you see a new folder with a name that includes the simulation, date, and time.
02:31
Open the folder to access the saved results file in the XLS format specified earlier.
02:38
Double-click it to view tabbed results in Excel.
02:41
In this example, the report includes public transport summary statistics and transport details.
02:48
Displaying results in report format allows you to easily access and manipulate data,
02:54
if necessary, within your InfraWorks Mobility Simulation model.
