Once your detailed design model has been transferred from Revit to Advance Steel,

Advance Steel also allows you to drive steel machines in the shop,

With a project open in Advance Steel, from the Output ribbon, Part marks panel, click the Numbering tool.

This opens the Numbering – Identical part detection dialog.

On the General tab, you can choose to generate single part marks and assembly part marks

by selecting the Process single parts and Process assemblies checkboxes, respectively.

After you make your selections, click Apply, and then OK.
