Select, convert, and export work orders from an InfoAsset Planner project, and then import them as tasks in Info360 Asset.
Transcript
00:03
You can export work orders from InfoAsset Planner and then import them as work tasks in Info360 Asset.
00:11
Work orders contain records for work to be completed
00:14
or work already completed on different facilities and assets in the InfoAsset Planner project database.
00:21
Work order tables can be found in two tables in InfoAsset Planner:
00:26
IMIC_WOWorkOrder contains the work order information,
00:31
And IMIC_WOAsset contains the asset information.
00:35
Open your InfoAsset Planner project in ArcMap.
00:39
You can find these two tables in the Catalog pane.
00:43
In the Table of Contents, expand the InfoAsset Planner database.
00:48
In this example, the model is called FinishedProjectDB.gdb.
00:54
In the Catalog pane, locate and select IMIC_WOWordOrder and IMIC_WOAsset,
01:02
then drag and drop them into the Table of Contents.
01:05
You can join the data in these tables to make it easier to export.
01:10
Joining data is typically used to append the fields of one table to those of another through an attribute or field common to both tables.
01:18
In the Table of Contents, right-click IMIC_WOWordOrder, and select Joins and Relates > Join.
01:27
Now, follow the steps in the Join Data dialog:
01:31
Step 1: Set the field that the join will be based on to ID.
01:36
Step 2: Set the table to join to IMIC_WOAsset.
01:42
Step 3: Set the field in the table to base the join on to Work Order ID.
01:48
Click OK to perform the join operation.
01:51
Right-click IMIC_WOWordOrder again, and select Open to open the table.
01:57
The actual export from ArcMap is a three-step process to convert the table to the CSV format required for an Info360 Asset import.
02:07
To start the export, right-click IMIC_WOWordOrder, and select Data > Export.
02:16
In the Export Data dialog, click to select the file location.
02:21
In the Saving Data dialog, set the Save as type to dBASE Table.
02:26
Add a name for the export, such as “WorkOrderDataforInfo360Asset.dbf”, then click Save.
02:34
The second part of the export is to convert this DBF file to an Excel-compatible file.
02:40
For this, you can use the conversion tools built into ArcMap.
02:45
Open the Arc toolbox, and select Conversion Tools > Excel > Table to Excel.
02:54
Set the Input Table to your DBF file that you just created.
02:59
For the Output Excel File section, choose a file location, and then add a name for the XLS file, such as “dataforInfo360Asset”.
03:09
Click Save, and then OK.
03:12
As a final step, open the XLS file in Excel, and then save it as a CSV with the same name.
03:19
You are now ready to import this work order table into Info360 Asset.
03:25
In Info360 Asset, switch to the Task tab, and then click Add Task Type.
03:31
Add a Task Type Name, such as “Work Orders from IAP”.
03:36
For this example, set the System Type to Sanitary Sewer and the Related Asset Type to Pipe.
03:44
Click in the Drag and drop files here box to open your file browser.
03:48
Navigate to and select your CSV file, and then click Open.
03:54
Next, you can map the fields in your Source CSV file to Target fields in Info360 Asset.
04:01
Map any fields that you want to see and use in Info360 Asset.
04:06
Mandatory fields are listed at the top of the mapping table.
04:10
For certain fields, make sure to select the option with the asterisk in the Target Field list:
04:16
Select the Facility ID source, and map the Target field to Asset ID.
04:23
Select the ActualFinishDate, and map the Target field to Completed Date.
04:30
For this one, you also need to select a date format.
04:34
Set it to MMDDYY.
04:38
Select the WorkOrderID, and map the Target Field to Task ID.
04:45
Select the ProjectStartDate, and map the Target Field to Scheduled Date.
04:51
Set the Date Format to MMDDYY.
04:56
If you have no other fields to map, click Create.
05:01
Once completed, you can see the Work Orders from IAP task in your task list.
05:06
These records are now ready to be tracked or used in risk models in Info360 Asset.
