By exporting a Revit (RVT) model to a Navisworks (NWC) file, you can work in both programs simultaneously.

Then, as you make changes in Revit, you can append the exported NWC in Navisworks to continue looking for clashes.

For this relationship to work between the two programs, make sure that you have the Navisworks NWC Export Utility installed,

and make sure you set up a dedicated 3D view that only shows the elements that you want to export to Navisworks.

Then, in Navisworks, open the Application menu and select Options.

In the Options Editor, select Model > Performance.

Now, in the On Load group box, select Close NWC/NWD files on load.

This allows you to export from Revit and overwrite the existing NWC file while it is open in Navisworks.

Next, from the Quick Access Toolbar, click New to create a new project in Navisworks.

To append the NWC file that was exported from Revit into Navisworks, on the Home ribbon, choose Append.

In the Append file browser, locate the file to append, select it, and then click Open.

Back in Revit, update the Revit model, such as deleting an element.
