Success Story
ARC International Design Consultants is a global Healthcare Facilities services provider with a network across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Headquartered in Lisbon, ARC advises corporate, institutional and private clients who are seeking to invest, acquire, or develop hospitals and healthcare facilities in the world's key locations. Their Autodesk Solutions (based on Revit and 3ds Max) were working with a very recent HP Workstation and was not able to render their animation in a reasonable time. ARC IDC consulted Autodesk Solution Provider Luso Cuanza for assistance to help solve that issue.
ARC-IDC have to render a lot of architectural visualization images daily and needed to make it as fast as possible. The primary project goal was to reduce/distribute the rendering time using a Physical Onsite Render Farm.
Luso Cuanza configured Autodesk 3ds Max to render with backburner at the render farm and it reduced the rendering time per frame and it has allowed them to render 8 simultaneous frames. We have also reviewed their internal 3D production workflow, in order to speed up/save a lot of time of network file transfer between the workstations and the render farm. The rendering with each render node of the render farm was shorter than the same render produced with the workstations, so we were able not only to save time in a single frame but we could multiply their rendering power x8 since ARC-IDC is using a 8 nodes render farm.
The support provided by Luso Cuanza to ARC-IDC has allowed them to render their projects in a shorter period, and have provided them with a powerful Render Farm. The Customer signed a support contract in order to help them solve these 3D workflow/rendering issues.
ARC-IDC begins to highlight the cooperative process with Luso Cuanza that have allowed them to deliver their Project Renderings in a shorter period, and helping to fulfil their customer expectations.
