AU Las Vegas 2019: Better Starts Here
Advances in technology are changing our work and our world—that we know. But ultimately, the future depends as much on people as on technology. Where we go from here—it’s up to us. It’s up to you.
That’s what AU Las Vegas is all about. It’s where people come together to find the best path forward with the technologies we have today and those we’ll have tomorrow.
This year’s conference was our best yet, with a record 12,000+ attending. Check out the video below for a quick tour of the week's many highlights.
In the opening General Session, Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost was joined by industry leaders from Walt Disney Imagineering and nonprofit Build Change to share a common vision for a world made better through automation and intentional design. From safer, more resilient homes around the world to happier visitors to the new Galaxy’s Edge destination at Disneyland, new tools can help us work smarter and do more with less.
In the Architecture, Engineering & Construction Keynote, we learned how innovation is transforming construction in a big way, and for the better. The Autodesk Construction Cloud, first announced at the Connect & Construct Summit on Monday, promises to connect every step of the process, from design and planning to building and operations, while keeping data at the center.
And in the Product Design & Manufacturing Keynote, we learned about new features and advances in Autodesk tools, and how new partnerships like the one with ANSYS can enable better designs and better decisions.
In the Expo, we saw how new technologies are being used in industry, got our hands on the tools, and talked to the teams behind the projects. And we connected with our peers in Community Meetups, in the Hub, and in the Industry Quads all week.
As Andrew said in the General Session, “Better starts here.” It was the theme of the entire conference. And “here” doesn’t mean Vegas. Here is wherever you are.
The truth is, better starts with you. And it starts now. As you head back to your office, what can you do to make “better” happen in your projects and your processes? How can you do better for your customers and work better with your partners? How can you use your skills, your experience, and your ideas to create better, more resilient communities and build a better world?
It’s an ongoing process of discovery, and with the new knowledge and connections we gained from AU Las Vegas, we can walk forward to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.
