Make the Most of AU 2024

It’s almost here. The learning. The connection. The community. The possibility. AU 2024 starts October 15 and there’s still time to register and join us. Can’t make it to San Diego? Join us for AU 2024 Digital

If you’ll be with us in San Diego, here are few things to keep in mind—and a few sessions to consider adding to your schedule:

Celebrate women in the Design and Make industries

Join the Autodesk Women’s Network (AWN) and Autodesk Women in Sales & Success (AWIS) for a discussion and outdoor networking reception.  Hear Shirine Boukli, a 2024 Paris Olympian and judo athlete, and Diana Colella, Autodesk EVP, Media & Entertainment, as they share experiences and discuss how to take action in your career. All are welcome to attend.

Classes in the Expo

The AU Expo has always been an incredible way to learn about the possibilities for the Design and Make industries, and this year, we have another important way to learn—classes in the Expo! Whether you’ve signed up for these classes or are just walking by and want to grab a seat, don’t miss these opportunities to explore, learn, and connect.

Focus on Design & Manufacturing

The future of manufacturing comes into focus at AU. If you care about products and what’s possible, don’t miss these sessions:

Fill your class schedule

If you have open slots in your schedule, consider these learning sessions:

Open source across industries

Media & Entertainment sessions

Even if you don’t work in media and entertainment, you can get great ideas that might apply to your own workflows—or just stop in and enjoy something different!

Power through partnership

Check out these classes from valued partners in your technology ecosystem.

All things XR

You heard about Autodesk Workshop XR at AU 2023. Now it’s time to find out what it can do for you—and your design review process. Workshop XR is an immersive workspace that enables teams and stakeholders to experience their 3D models at human scale, providing the ultimate design review experience. With multiple sessions available and three demo stations located in the Architecture, Engineering, and Civil Infrastructure Zone of the Expo, this is a great chance to find out what’s possible. You can also attend learning sessions such as Start Small and Show Big: Large Firm XR Solutions for Any Size Project, Exciting and Effective Safety Reviews Through VR, and Improving AEC Coordination in Virtual Reality with Autodesk Workshop XR. Though they show as full, there are almost always open seats. Show up 15 minutes before the session begins for a chance to sit in.

General conference tips

AU can be intense. Make sure you pace yourself and take breaks—whether that’s going back to your hotel room or taking a few minutes in the Community Zone to decompress. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. And don’t skip meals—we’ll be serving breakfast each morning, lunch in the Expo, and hosting receptions in the evening. Keep your body healthy so that you’re ready to learn!

It’s going to be an incredible week. We can’t wait to see you in San Diego!
