Description
This panel discussion will bring together Bay Area manufacturing leaders from Humanmade, SFMade, Tesla, Cruise, and Aproe who work at the intersection of manufacturing innovation, workforce development, and opportunity equity in their organizations to share case studies, individual success stories, and approaches to increasing diversity and inclusion in manufacturing workforce development programs. The discussion will explore how we can reimagine the future of work through collaboration across industry sectors to expand equity and shared prosperity while helping to solve for the growing skills gap. If more people were given equitable opportunities to build the skills they’ll need to fully participate in the future workplace, we could start to create increasingly inclusive and sustainable economies and societies that leave no one behind. We will share examples of passive versus active inclusion, holistic inclusion, and partnerships across corporate, government, education, and community sectors.
