Standards within drawing files define a set of common properties for named objects such as layers and text styles. Consistency in design and drafting are very important for maintaining and sharing drawings internally and externally in AutoCAD. The CAD Standards Manager can help you check, correct, and maintain standards within your company. At the end of this class you will be able to configure template files for standards, attach that standards file to a drawing to check consistency, use the batch checker to create a violation report, and understand how to use the powerful layer translator.
