Description

From gigaprojects to roads, manufacturing facilities, and everything in between, using technology that serves many diverse markets is no small task. The fun really starts when you add in the opinions of 55,000+ people. We at Jacobs have been rolling out Autodesk Construction Cloud as our common data environment (CDE) across our global business. We've seen some great results and hit plenty of roadblocks, but we're well on our way to establishing a global means of working in Autodesk Construction Cloud that will change the way we deliver projects. We're here to share what we've learned, and lead others down the path of digital transformation. The team members will offer insight into their different experiences of implementing Autodesk Construction Cloud. Each journey has been different, and most are at different stages on their continued journeys. Are you interested in civil? Buildings? Life sciences? ISO 19650? Join us for a panel of Jacobs leaders working to make Autodesk Construction Cloud the company's single source of truth, and see what you can learn from all we've accomplished.

Key Learnings

  • Discover strategies that helped Autodesk Construction Cloud become an established global CDE and project delivery platform across our business.
  • Learn about the common challenges faced while rolling out Autodesk Construction Cloud, and the steps we took to mitigate or solve them.
  • Discover the value of collaboration, standardization, and knowledge sharing across a business, especially a global one.

Speakers

  • Duncan G Taylor
Duncan has over 25 years experience in the design and management of highways schemes in the UK and Ireland. In 2012 he led the transition of Jacobs' UK highways business to collaborative, coordinated 3D design. This involved introducing a number of new workflows, processes and technology to ensure the team designs could work in a single model environment and so realise the benefits from BIM and ISO 19650. He is one of our technical experts in Civil 3D, managing and developing standard content used across our projects, and providing technical support to design teams. He is leading the development of our ACC configuration for our linear infrastructure markets across Europe to enable us to implement ACC as our CDE for Revit and Civil 3D with workflows in compliance with ISO 19650, including the requirements of the UK National Annex. He is responsible for developing our asset management solution for the design and construction phases of a project to enable us to efficiently manage the data resulting from our 3D design models and supplement it with non-geometric information.
