Happy Holidays from AU
2019. It’s the end of another year and also the end of a decade. And what a decade it’s been. A time of transformation in our tools and our processes, our mindsets and our means, our roles and our relationships to learning.
Just think: what was your job like 10 years ago? What did your workstation look like in 2009? How different were your workflows? Today, learning is part of the work week. If you’re part of the AU learning community, you’re right where you need to be to survive and thrive in your ever-changing industry.
Because the time of transformation is far from over. In fact, it’s just gaining velocity. To adapt and thrive, we’ll need new skills, new approaches, and new ways to perceive both problems and possibilities.
That makes now an interesting time to be working as an architect, a designer, an engineer, or a construction professional. No question about that. But for now, it’s time to take a break from work—from the making, building, and learning. Let’s all take a few days to relax, connect with loved ones, and get some well-earned rest.
But before we go, we just want to say thanks—thanks for being part of this, for sharing your processes and your knowledge, for brightening our community with your gifts. We couldn’t do any of this without you. You are AU. As we move forward, the one thing we know is that we do this together.
Have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season, and we’ll see you in the new year.
