Gaps created manually do not adjust automatically if the object changes,
00:09
click the brake tool again,
00:11
select the 1.5 unit dimension
00:14
and then use the remove option to remove the gap.
00:18
While you could certainly go through the drawing and select
00:21
each extension line or dimension line that crosses an object,
00:25
you can also select multiple dimensions and then
00:27
let the program automatically break dimension lines,
00:31
extension lines and leader lines,
00:33
wherever they overlap themselves or the object they annotate.
00:38
Click the break tool again.
00:40
But this time when the program prompts you to select the dimension you want to break,
00:45
right? Click and choose the multiple option.
00:48
The program prompts you to select dimensions.
00:51
And you can use any convenient object selection method.
00:54
For example,
00:56
use a selection window
00:57
to select everything in the drawing.

Since this command only affects dimensions, only dimensions are selected.
01:06
All other objects are filtered out
01:09
when you are finished, selecting objects. Right, click or press enter.
01:14
Now the program prompts you to select the object to break the dimensions.
01:19
Since you selected multiple dimensions to break,
01:22
the options are now a bit different.
01:24
And the default option is auto
01:27
press enter. To select that option.
01:29
As soon as you do all of the dimension lines,
01:33
extension lines and leader lines are broken wherever they overlap,
01:37
the object being dimensioned or overlap each other.
