In Fusion, you can easily share your designs with users that do not have an Autodesk ID.
00:09
They can then view the data in a web browser without installing a viewer or Fusion.
00:14
In the Data Panel, right-click a part or assembly file and select Share Link.
00:20
In the Share dialog, select Share the latest version with anyone using this link.
00:25
You also have the option to allow others to download the design
00:29
and password protect the link for added security.
00:32
Click Copy.
00:34
Fusion generates a link for you to share externally.
00:37
To preview what the recipient will see when this link is opened, paste it into your web browser.
00:43
An information-rich page loads, with a 3D view of the model.
00:48
No installations are needed, and there are no file compatibility issues.
00:53
To examine the assembly tree, click the icon in the upper left of the 3D view area
00:58
to open the design components list.
01:00
Expand the model name to display the components in the assembly.
01:04
Select a single component to isolate it in the view.
01:08
Note that you can also select multiple components to isolate a portion of the assembly.
01:13
If you created any post processes in Fusion, such as a simulation,
01:18
you can also view the results in this viewer.
01:21
Use the toolbar at the bottom to create section views, exploded views, and even view the component properties,
01:28
all without ever opening a CAD system.
01:31
If you set the option to allow downloads when you created the share link,
01:34
you can use the Download drop-down to see the available options.
01:38
This can be useful when working with suppliers who need a different file type than what was sent,
01:43
so they can download the file in their preferred format.
01:47
Note that the share link is live.
01:50
If you create another version in Fusion, the customer can click the link again to view the latest version of the design.
01:56
To stop sharing this file, you can either change the password, if you created one,
02:01
or turn off the share link.
