Similar to other Navisworks workflows, you can can use selection sets when working with any data exchanges,

To create a selection set, in the Scene View, zoom into and orbit the model.

You can hide the objects in the current selection so that they are not drawn in the Scene View.

This is useful when you want to remove specific parts of the model that might occlude your view of a room or another specific object.

For example, right-click one of the curtain panels and select Hide.

Zoom into the model to navigate to a specific object, such as a door.

Now, to select all of these same doors, from the ribbon, Select and Search panel, expand the Select Same drop-down.

In the Selection Tree, all objects with same name as the currently selected item—in this case, the doors—highlight.

You can also navigate the model to verify that the doors are highlighted as being selected throughout the model.
