When working with checked out items in the Upchain CAD plugin,
00:07
any changes you make to files are not available to your team members until you commit your changes back into Upchain.
00:14
In this example, you check in an assembly file in Inventor.
00:18
Begin with a model open in Inventor and the Upchain panel open to the CAD Bill of Materials (cBOM).
00:25
To use the check in function, the item must be checked out to you.
00:29
You can verify in the cBOM that the item is displayed with green writing and has a green lock beside it.
00:36
Right-click a component, or the top-level assembly, and select Check in.
00:41
The CAD Check in window opens, and displays any anomalies between the cBOM and eBOM.
00:48
In this example, there is an anomaly for Screw 20, as it was registered to the assembly, but not used.
00:55
Click OK.
00:56
In the cBOM, the assembly and components are no longer displayed in green and the check out lock icon is removed.
01:04
Switch to the Upchain web interface.
01:07
Here, you can open the BOM structure and view that the components and quantities are correct.
