Customize and renumber points in AutoCAD with Point Layout

Use the Manage Points tool in Autodesk Point Layout to customize and locate any point in your project, as well as select points to renumber them.

When working in Autodesk Point Layout,

you can use the Manage Points tool to customize and locate any point in your project,

and with the Renumber Points tools, you can select points by layer, or choose individual points to change their numbers.

With a project open, right-click in the model space and select Point Layout > Manage Points.

In the SearchFilter dialog, you can choose to select points, set point colors, delete points,

or zoom to a specific point.

You can select multiple points at a time by point number, description, system, or layer.

In this example, control points 1000, 1001, and 1002 are selected.

Click Apply.

Click the Set Color and Zoom buttons to experiment further with managing your points.

To renumber location points, right-click in the model space and select Point Layout > Tools > Renumber Location Pts.

You can select all points by layer or select an individual point and change their numbers.

In this case, click Select Some, assign a point value, and then click OK.

Now, select the point or points you want to change, and press ENTER.

The point values update.

You can also change control point attributes.

Select a control point, then right-click and select Properties.
