Project goals

The main goal was to provide accurate and detailed design services for highways, bridges and grade separators in the project, which included rehabilitation and up-gradation of Pen Khopoli Section from KM 0 to KM 25 along with design and construction of interchange/grade separator near Mumbai Pune Expressway and its entry and exit points. They achieved this in the stipulated time period and also quality output achievement.

Solution

Ceinsys Team captured the challenges and trained their Design Engineers on Autodesk Civil 3D (BIM software) and time to time awareness sessions were held for giving details of the new tools in the new versions. The young and enthusiastic team of IDSPL implemented these tools in a big way and achieved the set goals. Also, use of visualization software and the latest technology made it easy for all stakeholders to understand and arrive at an optimized design solution. The team also utilized the Common Data Environment of Autodesk BIM 360 Docs for Document management. Moreover, IDSPL’s IT and Ceinsys implementation team worked hand-in-hand to raise relevant cases with Autodesk to overcome some hurdles.

Business outcome

IDSPL Team Produced 3D outputs for visualization and established Autodesk BIM compliant procedure for project delivery. This increased productivity of all concerned teams as there were Lesser repetitions/revisions, better coordination and communication amongst the team members . The Final outcome was improved technical output maintaining the submission deadlines. The team efficiency increased by 25%.
