It’s Time to Check Your AU 2022 Class Proposal Status

It was an epic Call for Proposals this year. We received more than 2,200 submissions from 58 countries. Even more incredible: community voting crossed 65,000 likes—that’s more than triple the votes from last year. We’re excited, and we can’t thank you enough.

The selection process was challenging. Each proposal goes through a rigorous review process, as we compare the proposals we’ve received to the priorities we’ve established for the conference. Our internal industry teams, collaborators, and partners discuss, the community votes, and all the input is tabulated. After that, we have to make some tough decisions. And that brings us to where we are. Class selections have been made for AU 2022.

You can now check the status of your proposal. Just sign in to the AU website, click on your name in the upper right, and select My Proposals from the drop-down menu.

If your proposal wasn’t selected, please know we are deeply grateful for all the energy and effort you put into it. It’s a competitive process, with only about 20% of submissions being accepted. If it was your first time submitting a proposal, know that it’s even harder to get a spot at AU on your first attempt, so please keep at it and submit again next year. One of our top AU speakers, Curt Moreno, wrote a great piece about his journey to speak at AU—the rejection he originally faced, and how he stuck to it, and the happy ending.

If your proposal was selected, congratulations! We can’t wait to see you in New Orleans, as we bring our community together to move our industries forward. You should receive an email from our Speaker Management team, inviting you to check out the Speaker Resource Center, where you’ll find what tasks are required of you and the various deadlines you’ll need to meet. Share the good news with your professional community—use #AU2022 on social media to let everyone know that you’ll be presenting this year.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: it’s our community that makes AU what it is, and that community was front and center during the entire Call for Proposals process—both submitting and voting on proposals. Thanks for being part of it. Connecting again in person in September is going to be extra special.

We’ll have more conference news soon—watch this space.
