Description
In this roundtable session, attendees discuss the implications of the ever-changing world technologies on running a business. Possible topics include (but are not limited to): purchasing, implementation, training, and promoting or marketing their value. This discussion is open to virtually any topic, but we start with BIM, cloud, mobile, digital fabrication, and augmented reality. Attendees are encouraged to contribute to the conversation. Be prepared to not only air dirty laundry, but provide insight and possible solutions to the issues that might arise. This class is suitable for any size office, it is assumed that those with a larger technology budget will be more interested and involved.

- JBJim BaldingJim Balding is a licensed architect with than 25+ years of experience integrating technology into the AEC field. Jim earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has been a member of the Revit® Architecture Client Advisory Board since its inaugural meeting & served as the Revit Product Chair for AUGI® for 5 years. He also founded and served as the South Coast Revit Users Group president for 5 years. As a sought after speaker, Jim has presented at design and technology conferences worldwide and is one of the top-rated speakers at Autodesk University. Jim co-authored the highly successful "Introducing and Implementing Revit" published by Autodesk Press. Jim is currently serving on the Revit Technology Conference, Global Committee. Jim recently served as the Chair of the Technology Committee for the US Institute of Building Documentation. Jim runs his own architectural and design technology firm - The ANT Group.
