- Marin PastarMarin is a Registered Architect and Innovation & Technology expert. He started his professional career 20 years ago as a technical production architect and a project manager. Through his personal practice and project experience, he realized how disjointed the Design and Construction industry is, and the vast amount of room for process improvement. As a result of his efforts to connect the AEC industry and improve his own projects, his career evolved towards Technology & Innovation. Throughout his career, he led all aspects of Project Delivery from Design, Visualization and VR/AR, Reality Capture and UAS systems, to streamlining AEC Workflows from Planning, Design and Construction, into Facility Management and Operations. He is a strong advocate for the Owners, striving to eliminate the costly duplication of efforts in project execution. In his current role at Jacobs, Marin focuses on leveraging his extensive AECO industry experience to help global project teams discern project technology & innovation constraints and opportunities. He is passionate about developing the most suitable project execution strategies that leverage advanced Virtual Design & Construction tools and workflows in innovative ways to help streamline the Design/Construction delivery, and achieve a digital handover of the Built Environment suitable for enhancing the Owner Asset Lifecycle Workflows through succesful implementation of Digital Twins.
- IMIan McGawIan McGaw is the Vice President at ENGworks and has a dual degree in computer science and international business, focusing on the development of technologies. He is an executive business leader with broad domestic and international experience in identifying strategic and innovative technology solutions to complex business challenges. Ian’s interests have allowed him to understand complex technology process’ to become an influential factor in the way buildings are delivered all over the world. Ian has experience in the full value chain of project development process, starting from strategic planning, project planning, business innovation strategy and portfolio management for clients all the way to project turn-over. Furthermore, Ian has been invited to speak at numerous conferences (including Autodesk University, BIMForum, BILT) upon topics ranging from BIM content to implementation of technology to VDC.
- Rich ConyersRich Conyers is a Registered Architect and Revit Certified Professional who is focused on advancing modeling workflows, visual communication and the design process through technology. His experience with a variety of typologies from Adirondack-style resorts, major medical, skilled nursing communities, to natural science museums has allowed Rich to experience the processes and workflows unique to many building types as well as the consistencies between them. Rich is currently a member of multiple boards and committees targeting education in the office and throughout the region: Fox BIM committee, Missouri Institute of Natural Science Board of Directors, OTC’s Drafting and Design Technology Advisory Committee, YiPoA Strategic Planning and Creative Mornings. He strives to reevaluate processes of the past and mold more accurate and efficient workflows of tomorrow.
