AIA-Approved Classes at AU 2024
Making a better future requires new skills—and new skills require continued learning. If you’re an architect certified by the American Institute of Architects, you need to show what you’re learning each year by fulfilling 18 AIA-approved learning units (LUs), including the 12 required Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) learning units.
We currently have 161 classes that qualify for basic AIA LUs for those attending AU 2024 in San Diego, including 11 classes that qualify for those important HSW LUs.
LUs break down to the quarter hour, so a 90-minute AIA-approved AU class is worth 1.5 LUs.
Check out these AIA-approved classes that count toward HSW LUs for in-person attendees:
- MEP Fabrication Data Manager: The Fundamentals
- Supercharge Your Electrical Predesign with Electrical Analytical Tools
- Enhancing Digital Reporting for Fabrication Core and Revit Fabrication Workflows

How to Get Your AIA Credits
To receive AIA credit, simply provide your AIA number when you register for AU 2024. If you haven't done so already, you can add it to your profile at any time. After the event, we'll handle the rest by providing your attendance record to the AIA, ensuring that your credits appear on your transcript.
For Digital attendees, remember that you must attend the live-streamed version of the class to earn credit. Watching a class on demand will not count towards your AIA credits.
