Learning at AU 2022

Learning is part of the job now—for everyone in industry. Architects. Animators. Designers. Engineers. Builders. Manufacturers. The people up and down the line who create our built world. Learning is how we adapt, how we grow, and how we reimagine possible.

AU 2022 is the learning event of the year for professionals across industries. We’ll have more than 450 classes to choose from, led by speakers from 38 countries.

Top-rated returning speakers? New voices? They’ll all be in New Orleans September 27-29. There’s no other way to connect with so many experts, innovators, and thought leaders under one roof.

Class formats

We’re looking forward to being back in person this year—with all the potential for connection that brings. And to make the most of the in-person experience, we’re making discussion and Q&A a part of all the class formats. So instead of the post-class line to talk to speakers, you can get your questions answered during the session itself.

How you learn, what you learn, and who you learn from—that’s up to you. Check out the session formats for AU 2022:

  • Industry Talks feature experts sharing industry insights and new perspectives. They run for 60 minutes, with dedicated time for Q&A and discussion.
  • Case Studies take a deep dive into real-world examples of successful projects, highlighting challenges, solutions, and lessons learned. They run for 60 minutes, with dedicated time for Q&A and discussion.
  • Technical Instruction classes focus on how to better use technology, featuring tips and tricks, workflows, and processes that improve outcomes. They run for 90 minutes, with dedicated time for Q&A and discussion
  • Panels feature industry leaders in a facilitated exploration of a trending topic. They run for 60 minutes.
  • Roundtables are collaborative discussions between experts and attendees about shared industry challenges. They run for 90 minutes and will not be recorded.
  • Product Demos are explorations of the latest product development efforts, with updates from Autodesk employees, partners, and experts that reveal an insider’s view of the process. They run for 60 minutes, with dedicated time for Q&A and discussion.

Most classes contain supporting materials, like handouts and slide presentations, that will be made available one week before AU 2022 begins, so you can review and download them in advance. You can also find supporting materials in the AU 2022 app.

Each class has a limit on the number of people that can attend, and once a class is full, no others can sign up. That’s why it’s important to save your spot early. And if you do sign up for a class, it’s important that you attend, as a matter of courtesy to other attendees. If you can’t make it, please unenroll so that someone else can have your spot.

Learning is how we move forward. So find the classes that are right for you, register, and save your seat at AU 2022 today.
