AU 2022 Highlights for Civil Engineering
Civil engineers conceive, design, build, and maintain the critical infrastructure that provides the foundation for modern society. They’re responsible for both centuries-old waterways and weeks-old data pipelines, seaports and sewage systems, railways and highways. Digital transformation is reshaping how they design and build, and an increased focus on sustainability is requiring everyone to do more with less.
AU 2022 is the place for civil engineers to connect and discover the latest tools, trends, and technologies that can help you not only stay current but get ahead in your industry. From learning how to combine BIM and GIS data to exploring new automation and simulation capabilities, there is a lot for engineers to look forward to at AU 2022, so register now. Here are some highlights for infrastructure professionals:
General Sessions and industry keynotes
The conference kicks off with General Session Day 1, where Autodesk President and CEO Andrew Anagnost will share how moving collaboration and data to the cloud can help create solutions to the disruptions we face today. And General Session Day 2 will feature business leaders across industries sharing how they’ve handled digital transformation—and navigated the journey to new skillsets, toolsets, and ultimately, new mindsets. And don’t miss the Autodesk Excellence Awards ceremony on Tuesday at 5:30 PM for a chance to see some of the most innovative projects in architecture, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, and media.
Learning sessions
We’ll have more than 450 classes to choose from at AU 2022 to help you do more with your data, streamline processes, and connect your teams, your partners, and your customers in new ways. Check out these featured classes:

Beyond the classroom
In addition to all the great learning content, there will be many ways to connect with your community, like:
- Meetups—Meetups are a great way to make a personal connection, share tips and best practices, find out how your peers are handling disruption, and build your network through personal support. Check out this AEC Meetup featuring Civil 3D Experts and the Autodesk Infrastructure Team.
- Activities and receptions—Don’t miss the Spacemaker Design Slam on Wednesday evening. And check out other opportunities to build your professional network from the Women at AU Reception on Tuesday evening to La Grande Soirée on Thursday night.
- Industry zones—The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Zone in the Expo is the place to get hands-on with new technologies and see how industry-leading teams are advancing practice. Explore the winning design for the urban landscape around Notre Dame in VR, interact with a new train station in AR, and meet the teams that are creating efficient and sustainable infrastructure. And check out the smart bridge from DAR in the Product Design & Manufacturing zone.
Register now and we’ll see you in September.
