Navigating Las Vegas
The Formula 1 Grand Prix will be starting right after AU ends, and preparations for the race will create traffic complications in Las Vegas all week. Expect delays, plan ahead, and remember that patience is a virtue. You can find more details on transportation on the AU 2023 Travel page and on the F1 FAQs.
The Venetian/Palazzo and The LINQ are inside the race zone, and access to those locations will be limited at certain times beginning Wednesday night. Rideshare cars and taxis can enter and leave through specific bridges that have been constructed for the race, however. The Mirage is outside the race zone.
Getting to the airport on Thursday: The Venetian/Palazzo is offering complimentary shuttle buses to the airport for attendees on Thursday, November 16, including buses that are ADA-compliant. While space is limited and we encourage you to sign up for a preferred timeslot in the session catalog, they will be leaving on a rolling schedule from 4:00 AM-2:00 PM to accommodate as many attendees as possible.
You can still schedule rideshares from hotels within the race zone at any time but expect delays and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.
Download the AU 2023 mobile app
The best way to find your way around AU 2023 and get answers to all your questions is through the AU mobile app, available for iPhone and Android. Once you sign in, you’ll be able to see your conference schedule, navigate using maps and wayfinding, add and remove sessions, connect with other attendees, and share your experience.
Don’t miss Ryan Reynolds on Tuesday morning
Actor, producer, screenwriter, and entrepreneur, Ryan Reynolds, will join a conversation with Autodesk's COO, Steve Blum, to share his approach to business, industry, and equity—and what it means to him to design and make a better world.
Hear from Ryan during General Session on Tuesday, November 14 at 10:30 AM PST—live in Las Vegas or live-streamed for AU 2023 Digital Pass holders.
Note: This session will not be available as a recording, so be sure to watch the live stream.
Check out Lunch and Learn sessions
Looking to connect and learn while you enjoy lunch? Lunch and Learns will take place on Level 5. They’ll include a great meal and an interactive presentation from a technology provider, along with time for networking. Check out these sessions and add them to your schedule:
- Driving Design Innovation with Gen AI, Visualization, and Immersive Collaboration
- Extensive Designer Life and Fusion 360 as Your first CAD Tool
- Operational Intelligence: Optimize with Connected Facility Operations
- The Evolution of Hybrid Work
Play the Design & Make Quest
Whether you’ll be joining us in Las Vegas or with a free Digital Pass, the Design & Make Quest is a great way to explore every part of the conference experience and get a chance to win some cool prizes. Both are played in the mobile app and will become available on November 13, the first day of the conference.
- In-person attendees can earn points by visiting exhibitors and the One Autodesk Experience in the Expo, exploring the Community Zone, and completing event surveys. The first 300 attendees to earn 1,000 points will be eligible to win an AU 2023-branded Bluetooth speaker.
- Digital attendees can earn badges based on the sessions you watch, the sponsor and exhibitor pages you visit, and the surveys you complete. For each badge you collect, you receive one entry into the drawing for a free Full Conference Pass to AU 2024. Complete all badges for an additional badge and entry, for a maximum of seven possible entries per attendee.
Tips for a great week
AU can be intense. Be sure to take care of yourself: drink plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, keep your lip balm handy, and take breaks. Fuel your learning with Coffee and Morning Bites each morning, lunch in Hall A next to the Expo, and enjoy networking receptions in the Expo on Monday and Tuesday nights. And save some energy for the AU Party: The Design and Make Celebration at The Palms on Wednesday night!
