The role of a BIM or CAD manager changes as technology changes, and the role is different at every company, based on factors like company size, team size, type of work being done, and where the company is on its digital transformation journey.

But there are common responsibilities that unite all BIM and CAD managers. Whether it’s selecting and managing technology upgrades, making sure your team has the necessary training, or developing new standards and workflows, BIM and CAD managers play a key role in how we make and build today.

AU 2022 is the place for BIM and CAD managers of all kinds to come together and exchange ideas and insight. Registration is now open, and there’s a lot to look forward to in New Orleans. From the mainstage to the classroom, here are a few highlights:

General Sessions and industry keynotes

The conference kicks off with General Session Day 1, where Autodesk President and CEO Andrew Anagnost will share how moving collaboration and data to the cloud can help create solutions to the disruptions we face today. And General Session Day 2 will feature business leaders across industries sharing how they’ve handled digital transformation—and navigated the journey to new skillsets, toolsets, and ultimately, new mindsets. And don’t miss the Autodesk Excellence Awards ceremony on Tuesday at 5:30 PM for a chance to see some of the most innovative projects in architecture, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, and media.
