It's Time to Check Your AU 2021 Proposal Status
The AU 2021 Call for Proposals was a huge success, with more than 1,200 English-language proposals submitted from 49 countries. Nearly 20,000 votes were cast to recommend those proposals during community voting. This year’s global digital event is shaping up to be something special.
We reviewed each proposal, consulted with our partners and collaborators, and considered votes and recommendations. And now, the decisions have been made—AU 2021 classes have been selected. Starting today, you can check the status of the class proposal(s) you submitted by signing in to the AU website and visiting your My Proposals page. Starting next week, accepted speakers can access the Speaker Resource Center (SRC) and start preparing their classes.
To those who were not accepted, we see you. We appreciate the effort you put into your proposals. The decisions were incredibly difficult this year due to the limited number of slots available. There may be additional AU 2021 opportunities for those whose proposals were not selected—we’ll reach out directly to those who qualify. Please know that your voice is important to us, and we encourage you to submit again next year. It often takes multiple tries before getting a proposal accepted. (Check out this guest post from Curt Moreno, a top-rated AU speaker, for inspiration to keep trying.) Other things you can do to improve your chances include sharing your insights online through AU, Autodesk, and other platforms. That includes AU 2021 in October—we’ll see you there.
For those who were selected, congratulations. We’re excited to work together to create a new digital learning experience this year. Look for an email next week from AU Speaker Management, inviting you to sign in to the Speaker Resource Center, where you’ll find required tasks and deadlines for your class. And let your peers know that you’ll be presenting at the conference—use the hashtag #AU2021 when you post about it on social media.
Community is at the heart of AU. Even if we can’t gather in person this year, connecting digitally gives us the chance to learn and grow together. And none of it would be possible without you. You are AU.
Stay tuned for more AU 2021 news. We’ll have more to share soon.
