The Autodesk Platform Services Autodesk Viewer is a platform component designed to facilitate the visualization of your model data in web and cloud environments. It is widely used by both third-party developers and Autodesk's internal product teams. In this session, we'll provide a live demonstration of the Viewer, showcasing the significant improvements we've made for large-model performance and capacity. Also, we'll provide insight into our strategic road map, giving you a glimpse of our journey thus far and the direction in which the Viewer is evolving. This session offers an opportunity to understand how the Viewer could play a role in realizing your business objectives, and to give us your feedback on our performance journey and our road map.

Many Autodesk products give users the ability to share design data for collaboration with multiple stakeholders. AutoCAD software's Simple Share and Inventor software's Connected Design Share are two examples of similar functionality done differently between products. Wouldn't it be nice if the same functionality and workflows existed across multiple Autodesk products? This session will explore a common way to share your Autodesk designs though the Autodesk Viewer across Autodesk products. You will have the ability to see design concepts and provide your feedback and requirements to the AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault and Autodesk Cloud Platform Product Teams.

Through the development of Dasher 360, Autodesk Research has been pushing the limits of what’s possible in the Forge viewer. In this class we’ll take a look at the latest developments in this tool - which integrates historical sensor (or IoT) data into a 3D context - and see how they might be applied to other Forge viewer use-cases. The topics we'll cover in this session include: * Hosting both the Esri 3D viewer and the Forge viewer in the same site. * Displaying skeleton data created by OpenPose inside the Forge viewer. * Loading and animating rigged robot models via Collada. * Using the MeshLine library to display animated streamlines. Autodesk Forge is an on-demand web services platform. That means you need to be online to connect to the Autodesk servers to use the various Forge APIs. However, the Autodesk Forge Viewer can work with multiple online, as well as offline sources. There are times where an offline workflow is preferable because of lack of connectivity, security concerns, or performance. In this lecture, we will explore how to optimally use the Forge Viewer in an offline mode, and how to cache and synchronize the data with the server for Mobile and Web applications requiring temporary offline mode capabilities.

Endless possibilities, that’s what we can do with the Forge Viewer. Want to learn the basics? This class will explore how to create custom extensions to interact with the Viewer. To attend this class, make sure to have a running Forge application with the Viewer, or you should have attended either "Upload and View Your Models with Forge" or "Connect to Fusion Team and BIM 360 Data.” Bring your own laptop or use the lab. This class requires basic knowledge of JavaScript.

Autodesk, Inc.'s, Large Model Viewer provides a platform for visualizing engineering assets on any platform. Large Model Viewer’s virtual-reality support enables immersive visualization experiences that were never possible before. This class will explore how we can integrate enterprise data with design data to provide context for assessments and decisions. This session will explore how language learning models (LLMs) can be integrated with Autodesk Platform Services APIs for optimization of hyperparameters like structural design, reduction of material usage, and embodied carbon. We'll demonstrate this using Autodesk Platform Services to extract building information modeling (BIM) data from Revit models to train LLMs, generating intelligent-design suggestions. The optimized designs are later visualized in Autodesk Platform Services Autodesk Viewer, clearly identifying improvements. Using sample Revit models, we'll showcase how this approach has led to substantial reductions in material consumption and carbon emissions, such as a 25% reduction in steel usage and a 30% decrease in embodied carbon. The Autodesk 360 cloud-computing platform is all about enabling users to access their data from everywhere, anytime. While we will explore how to use this WEB / Cloud Service API for creating a collaboration tool, and manipulating geometry, and metadata ; we would also get a truly new 3D journey using LeapMotion and either the Oculus Rift or simply the Google Cardboard. The new Autodesk Forge Data API exposes the granular data you need to seamlessly integrate Autodesk Fusion 360 into your data workflows. Learn how CIDEON, an Autodesk and SAP Platinum Partner, is using Autodesk Forge to simplify connecting Autodesk Fusion 360 data to SAP. In this class, we’ll discuss two integration scenarios and how the Autodesk Forge APIs helped us with them, and we’ll demonstrate and discuss the benefits of two solutions: An Autodesk Forge Data-powered connector that enables fast, efficient, and seamless integration between Autodesk Fusion 360 and SAP, linking Autodesk Fusion 360 components with SAP ERP and transferring bills of materials; and an Autodesk Forge Viewer-powered SAP product configurator that provides an intuitive, visual user experience by interacting with a 3D representation of the underlying configuration.

The Research Team at Autodesk, Inc., has been developing technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) since before people called it that. Project Dasher is a building performance management tool that displays historical and real-time sensor data inside a building model. The Research Team has taken the learning acquired while developing Project Dasher and used it to create technology that addresses the needs of the broader IoT market. This session will look at how IoT APIs (application programming interfaces) from Autodesk Research can be used to display information in websites integrating the viewer from the Forge Platform to inform the design process and even power generative design. Throughout the last decade, Autodesk Research has been developing advanced techniques for data visualization in a 3D environment. One example of this is Dasher 360, a Forge-based application that can display in a 3D context sensor data captured by sensors in buildings (or on infrastructure such as bridges). In recent months, we’ve been working to publish the core components that display this rich 3D data, for instance, to spatially locate sensors in a 3D model and to map large amounts of IoT (Internet of Things) sensor data to the surface of 3D objects via animated heat maps. This session focuses on how Forge developers can integrate these components into their own applications, delivering first-class visualizations of their customers’ data.

Whether you’re scanning an existing site or capturing as-built data near the end of a project, you've put in the work to create a digital twin of your site in ReCap software. Now stakeholders need to review it or perhaps teammates need it to further their design. We'll discuss how to use secure Autodesk platforms like BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Drive to connect colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to your data. We’ll start with understanding various workflows to get your project up in the cloud. Once there, we'll use collaborative tools in the Autodesk Forge Viewer API to create markups and annotations that can be synced down to the project locally. We'll cover how teammates and partners can consume your data in other products like Revit software, Civil 3D software, and InfraWorks software. Lastly, we'll discuss where the product may be heading, and how that could affect current workflows. Whether you’re a surveyor or a BIM manager tasked with managing point cloud data, you’ll find value in this course.

Would you like to optimize project and design management? In this class, we’ll go through workflows and automated processes that enable us to track deliverables’ development progress and compare with schedule and budget more efficiently and accurately. We’ll work within the ISO 19650 framework and use some of the standards’ metrics in a set of dashboards to provide an overview of the sample project’s development. To analyze the data, it first gets exported from BIM 360 software and Revit files using Autodesk Forge software. All exported data, with schedule and budget, is imported into Microsoft Power BI. For contextualization, we also embed the Autodesk Forge Viewer into Microsoft Power BI, enabling us to dynamically switch between the project’s models and sheets corresponding to the data displayed on the dashboards. This approach to data and project management allows us to improve collaboration, enhance quality of deliverables, and reduce cost and risk. Throughout the course of two years, we predict saving $190,000 in one project alone.

Digital twins can serve as a shadow representation of your assets—be it a building information modeling (BIM) corpus, CAD models of a facility, the equipment instruction manuals, or the interconnect between the systems. Adding sensors to these shadow representations allows for real-time tracking, evaluation, and prediction of facility and asset performance. In this presentation, we will introduce you to our digital twin platform called Autodesk Tandem and its new API. Following that, we will guide you through the process of developing your first digital twin, using the Autodesk Tandem APIs. By the end of the session, you'll know how to make your own digital twin and integrate the Autodesk Tandem API with your own systems and data. We'll wrap up with examples of more-advanced real-world use-cases that involve IoT sensors and time-series databases.

In this session, we’ll look at different strategies for visualizing your design data with Autodesk technology. Utilizing the Large Model Viewer, Inventor Studio, Fusion 360 software, 3ds Max software, Autodesk Rendering in the cloud, and VRED software, you’ll gain a good understanding of where each of these software systems have their strengths and application within industry, and where they can complement each other.

With all kinds of different VR devices released to the market, the concept of VR/AR/MR is becoming increasingly popular, but it's still an expensive experience. Is there any way to make the VR experience more accessible, and easier for your customers? WebVR provides a good solution. This class will introduceWebVR and show you some cool demos to help you get a quick project started with the technology, There are several frameworks you can start with, and even mix together - we will discuss some of these, including Three.js, the Autodesk Forge Viewer, and ReactVR. The class will show live demos, and the code behind the different examples.
