Classes Have Been Selected for AU 2020

AU speaker

AU 2020 will be a global digital event, and this year’s Call for Proposals reflected that in a big way. More than 2,300 submissions came in from 58 countries in eight different languages—an unbelievable response. Thanks to everyone who submitted—we know how much work goes into every proposal—and also to everyone who cast the more than 56,000 votes during community voting.

Selecting the sessions for AU 2020 wasn’t easy—it never is. We balanced community votes with our own priorities and input from industry partners and stakeholders. And now it’s done. AU 2020 classes, articles, and Theater talks have been selected. Class and article notifications have been sent, and Theater notifications will follow in the coming days.

Congratulations to those whose proposals were accepted. You’ll be hearing more from us soon, and we’ll be doing everything we can to support you in preparing and presenting a great session. Spread the word to let your community know about your talk and what you’ll be sharing in November.

For those whose proposals didn’t make it this year, know that we were forced to make difficult decisions due to the limited number of session slots available. Please continue to add your voice to the AU community, join us for AU 2020, and consider submitting again next year. Many of our popular speakers submitted multiple times before they had a proposal accepted. There are many ways to share your expertise, and the higher your profile at AU and in the wider industry, the better your chances of acceptance.

With the transition to a global digital experience this year, we’re reimagining many aspects of the conference. Whether we’re gathering in person or connecting through digital platforms, learning remains at the core of the AU experience. And we couldn’t do it without you—your insight, your experience, your expertise. You are AU. Thanks for taking the journey with us.

Remember, there’s no cost to attend AU 2020, but you will need to register in September. We’ll continue to share updates as the conference approaches, so stay tuned.
