If you don't already have a new drawing, open,
00:05
click the new button in the start tab and accept the default
00:09
ACAD dot DWT template.
00:11
We're going to be working with an existing DST sheet set file
00:15
that is included in your dataset.
00:17
Click on the application menu, then hover over open,
00:21
click on sheets set and navigate to the dataset folder containing civil
00:25
project dot DST.
00:26
Select it, then click on open
00:29
using the various publishing options.
00:31
You can publish the entire set subsets, selected drawings,
00:35
name selections or just a single sheet.
00:38
We'll start with the top level sheet set.
00:40
So right, click on it, then expand the published flyout menu.
00:45
By the way,
00:45
we'll be doing this a lot in the course of this video as the menu structure goes away.
00:50
Once one of its tools is accessed
00:52
and since we don't want to take a chance that we might
00:55
accidentally send up to 17 files to your plotter or printer,
00:59
I'll be showing you various interface dialogues,
01:01
then we'll be canceling out of most of them.
01:04
OK. Back to the published menu.
01:06
You can publish to AD W FX or the legacy DW F format
01:11
A PDF or directly to a plotter or printer.
01:15
Notice that the publish using page setup override is grayed out.
01:19
The middle section offers some options such as
01:21
adding a plot stamp or publishing in reverse order
01:25
plus, there's an option to edit subset and sheet published settings.
01:28
Let's click on that option.
01:30
The published sheets, dialogue will be displayed.
01:33
This is where you can select or deselect any file, any subset
01:37
or the entire set to be published or not.
01:40
As you can see,
01:42
it's another good use of subsets and you can easily
01:44
include or exclude an entire group with one click.
01:48
I don't want to change anything.
01:49
So I'll click on the cancel button,
01:52
right. Click on the top level again
01:54
and return to the publish options. Menu.
01:56
The bottom section lets you manage various settings
01:59
again. We don't have a page set up, override file defined yet.
02:03
So we'll move on to the last three for now.
02:06
Let's click on the DW
02:08
F publish options.
02:10
The DW F options dialogue will be displayed.
02:13
This is where you can set your D WF options for the selected part of the sheet set.
02:17
In this case, it's the entire set.
02:20
Remember though everything we see here can also
02:22
be applied to subsets or individual files.
02:25
I'll click on cancel to exit.
02:28
Navigate back to the publish options, menu from the top level.
02:32
Next we'll click on the PDF options.
02:34
Of course, the PDF options box will appear
02:37
where you can define the location to be written to
02:39
prompts quality and what data to include.
02:43
Again, I'll exit with the cancel button
02:46
and again, let's navigate back to the publish options.
02:50
The last entry will call up the published dialogue for you.
02:53
Some people have used this interface for years and prefer continuing to use it.
02:57
Even after they began using the sheet set manager,
03:00
it's pre populated for you based on your current selection in the sheet set.
03:04
And again, I'll cancel to exit.
