First, we have to go back to the floor plan sample tab.
00:07
Then from the view tab, click on D
00:10
WG compare,
00:12
you'll immediately get a file box.
00:14
Click on floor plan sample version two from your dataset folder.
00:18
Then click the open button.
00:20
The drawing will display with a thick blue box around the edges.
00:24
This is your visual cue that you are in the comparison mode.
00:27
Most of the geometry has turned gray
00:30
but some are green,
00:31
some are red and there are some dull yellow revision clouds scattered about.
00:36
There is also a small docked compare toolbar at the top of the blue box.
00:41
Let's go through the toolbar.
00:43
We'll start on the left side with the gear icon which will display your settings.
00:48
I'll click on it now move it off to the side a bit and pin it in place.
00:52
If I didn't pin it, it would go away when it loses my focus.
00:56
The comparison results are color coded objects not
00:60
in the current drawing are shown in red.
01:02
Those that are only in the current drawing are green
01:06
items that appear in both drawings are gray.
01:10
We'll skip over draw order for a moment
01:12
and we'll find that revision clouds appear as yellow.
01:15
There is a light bulb on the left side of each entry,
01:19
use it to toggle the visibility of any of these items.
01:22
Let's turn each one off and back on so that we can see the results.
01:27
Of course, you can have multiple differences or rev clouds off. At the same time,
01:32
the color swatches allow you to change colors.
01:35
Just click on a swatch to display the color palette.
01:38
I'll click on the gray, no different swatch and darken the gray sun.
01:42
You can also change the revision clouds from
01:45
rectangular to polygonal as I'm doing here.
01:48
And there's a slider where you can adjust the arc length of the cloud.
01:53
There are a couple of filters at the bottom.
01:55
You can remove hatches from the comparison or text objects.
01:59
I'll click on the icon for text and you'll
02:02
see that all of the textual objects disappear.
02:04
That includes attributes as we have in this drawing.
02:07
Also,
02:08
revision clouds may adjust to exclude any removed text.
02:13
I'll click it again to see the text.
02:16
All right.
02:17
That's the settings box.
02:19
I'll unpin it and remove focus to dismiss it.
