In Autodesk Build, a request for information, or RFI, is a formal process to obtain clarification

or additional information about a project, from architects, engineers, clients, or other stakeholders.

RFIs help resolve questions or ambiguities, to help ensure that work can proceed according to project specifications and plans.

As an example, a contractor may submit an RFI to the project architect

To access these features, begin in the Autodesk Construction Cloud with your project open and the Build module selected in the product picker.

In the Navigation panel, select RFIs.

Then, expand Settings and select Permissions.

Now, you can use the Permissions, RFI Types, Custom fields, and Advanced Settings tabs to adjust your RFI workflow.

The Permissions tab allows you to regulate who can view, create, edit, or manage RFIs within a project.
