Create, submit, and approve reviews for project files, as well as understand and manage email notifications for the review.

00:03

In the Autodesk Construction Cloud, the Reviews tool facilitates and automates the distribution of project files to project members,

00:11

streamlining the review and approval process.

00:15

Once a project administrator has created an approval workflow,

00:19

assigned members can use it to initiate the review and approval of project files.

00:24

Members designated as reviewers can then review and comment on the files,

00:29

and members designated as approvers can give final approval for the files to be used.

00:35

To initiate a review of project files, begin with your project open in ACC Docs and an approval workflow already created.

00:45

In the navigation panel, select Reviews, then click Create review.

00:51

In the Add Files dialog, expand your project directory and select the appropriate project files.

00:59

Click Create.

To explore the review and approval process, return to the Reviews tool, where you can see the reviews available to you.

01:46

Click a review to open it.

01:49

The review steps display at the top of the page, with the current step highlighted—here, Initial Review 1.

01:57

You can also access the list of files for review.

02:01

Simply click a file to open it.

02:05

To begin reviewing files, click Start review.

02:10

Now, you see that each file with a Review status of Approved or Approved with comments is copied to a predefined folder location,

03:34

based on the action defined in the current workflow.

03:38

When a review is closed,

03:40

project administrators and members with View/Upload permissions or higher can create a transmittal directly from the review.

03:48

In the Reviews tool, click a review with a Closed status to open it.

03:53

Select the files you wish to include in the transmittal, then click Transmittal.

03:59

In the Create transmittal dialog, enter the relevant details, such as the Title and Recipients, and then click Create.
