Folder permissions can be used to control access to files and actions on the files in the Construction Cloud.
00:10
After logging into your Construction Cloud account and navigating to a project,
00:15
expand the Product Picker and from the drop-down, select Docs.
00:20
This opens the Files page.
00:23
Once members are invited to a project, you must assign them permission to the project folders and files.
00:29
From the Folders tab, adjacent to Project Files, click More—the three dots.
00:36
From the flyout, click Permissions settings.
00:40
This opens the Permissions panel.
00:43
Here, you can review the details of already existing permissions applied to the selected folder,
00:49
including a list of the members who have permissions to it.
00:52
You can also review how many companies or roles are assigned permissions to the folder.
00:57
To assign permissions to other members, click Add.
01:02
From the Add dialog, type in the company name or individual email addresses for whom you want to assign permissions.
01:09
Next, expand the Permissions drop-down.
01:13
Select the appropriate level of permissions for the company or individuals.
01:18
To help you determine which ones you need, you can find the details for the various levels of permissions
01:23
in the Civil 3D Help under Folder Permissions.
01:27
Click Add.
01:29
The dialog closes.
01:31
Back in the Permissions panel, notice that the list updates with the newly assigned permissions.
01:37
If you assign permissions at a company level, you can expand the company to view the members included in the company.
01:43
In this example, the subfolders automatically inherit the permission level of the parent folder,
01:49
but realize that those permissions can be changed later.
01:52
If they are changed, the subfolder permissions must either match or have a greater permission level than that of the parent folder.
