Learn how to start a Mobility Simulation from InfraWorks.
Type:
Tutorial
Length:
2 min.
Transcript
00:04
Mobility Simulation is an integrated multimodal mobility simulation engine for InfraWorks.
00:10
One way to use Mobility Simulation is to create animated simulations of pedestrian movement.
00:16
In order to launch Mobility Simulation, you must first define a traffic study area.
00:22
Begin in InfraWorks with any model loaded.
00:26
From the Analyze tab, expand the Transportation drop-down and select Mobility Simulation.
00:33
Now, create a traffic study area boundary by creating a polygon containing the area of interest.
00:40
In this instance, a warning dialog displays regarding converting planning roads to component roads within the traffic study area.
00:48
For this example, click No.
00:51
Next, right-click within the traffic study area and select Mobility Simulation.
00:57
Another warning dialog displays.
01:00
This time, the warning alerts you that no intersections are included in the traffic study area.
01:06
Click OK to continue.
01:08
InfraWorks prepares your traffic model for Mobility Simulation.
01:12
Once complete, the traffic model opens in a separate Autodesk InfraWorks Mobility Simulation application window.
01:21
Mobility simulation is a powerful tool to simulate how people and traffic move through environments.
