- MAMarcos AguadoBIM Implementation Project Manager Marcos Aguado is heading up the implementation of BIM for El Corte Inglés (ECI), a leading Spanish company in the retail sector. With diverse qualifications, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology with a specialization in Industrial Sociology, a Master's degree in Human Resources, and a Master's degree in Sales Management and Marketing. To date, Marcos has developed a career in various fields, primarily in HR, Sales Management, and project management. Thanks to his education and professional experiences, he tries to apply a global approach to the problems and tasks to be developed. This has served him, since his incorporation into the company 15 years ago, to focus his responsibilities on managing both projects and work teams, aiming to integrate the specific task's needs with ECI's global objectives and its culture. Between 2018 and 2022, he led El Corte Inglés' business-to-external-customer offices (construction, equipment, and supplies) in Peru and Panama. Upon his return to Madrid, for the past 2 years, he has been responsible for the implementation of the BIM methodology in the Real Estate area of the company, while also leading the digitization process of the company's extensive real estate assets package. In parallel, he is involved in the planning, coordination, and financial control of all the renovation projects that the company carries out in its shopping centers throughout the year. He aims to align the transition to BIM in the operations area with the business needs. His next challenge, in which he is already involved, is to promote and implement the use of BIM models for the company's retail needs.
- LOLucía MuñozModelical's BIM Implementation Consultant at El Corte Inglés Lucía Muñoz is an Architect and BuiltTech Specialist. She holds a Degree in Architecture as well as Master's Degrees in Architecture and BIM Management. Before joining Modelical's team, she gained experience in architectural design in residential, logistics and workplace projects, as well as façade manufacturing and installation. In Modelical, Lucía has worked on BIM implementations, digitization of assets, BIM office for residential developers as well as providing training and project support. Lucía has been involved in the Corte Inglés' BIM implementation project since its inception, participating in all its phases and involving about 200 people. This includes strategy definition, protocol development, training, and general coordination. In addition to the implementation, over the last 20 months, she has coordinated the digitalization of 22 ECI centers by external companies, leading the model review work of a thirty people team, and has contributed to the establishment of a specific BIM office to this end. Now, with the rest of Modelical's team, Lucía works in close collaboration with ECI's newly formed BIM team and BIM Manager to ensure the methodolody meets El Corte Inglés' specific needs and the models are used a as base for an increasing number of processes.
- RMRoberto MolinosRoberto Molinos is the CEO of Modelical, a consultancy specialising in the digitisation of the construction sector, and associate professor and lecturer at IE School of Architecture and Design, where he runs the BuiltTech Advanced Programme as well as teaching on computational design, BIM and technology management. Roberto's experience ranges from multi-million dollar stadium, airport and other infrastructure projects to the implementation of design technologies in companies and organisations of all sizes. Prior to founding Modelical Roberto worked as an Architect and BIM specialist at Idom and Sener.
