Description
This session will be a panel from Black people and minorities in AEC-related roles discussing the impacts of diversity and inclusion on the construction industry. The questions will be focused on how the impacts of AEC have affected the industry globally, and how we can address these issues of skills shortages by retaining and supporting diverse groups. This class is aimed to bring awareness, establish dialogue, and engage a community of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) people in AEC.

- LBLorrin BlairLorrin is the PlanGrid Technical Solutions Executive for the Midwest, helping teams develop technical workflows and providing in-depth consulting to drive standardization and product awareness across organizations. Prior to joining the PlanGrid team, Lorrin spent the better part of a decade supporting jobsites all over North America, first as a Civil Field Engineer and then as a Project Manager. She spent the majority of her field career working for Bechtel, but also has experience working for a specialty subcontractor, and also on the owner side at a major university. Since joining PlanGrid in early 2017 Lorrin has also supported customers as a Lead Consultant & Trainer, helping teams across the country to implement and standardize on PlanGrid. Lorrin is a Licensed Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
