Description
Until recently, the construction industry has suffered a technology bypass, relying on centuries-old processes to manage projects that are getting more complex and demanding faster execution. This class will discuss how Building Information Modeling (BIM) is making a shift by industrializing construction and setting up off-site assembly lines for manufacturing modules that can just be assembled on-site by a lean team. Case studies will be discussed from several iconic, global project executions where assembly line manufacturing construction processes were deployed for amazingly fast construction, reducing the on-site work, wastages, and costs. The main focus of this class is using BIM to support modular design and industrialized construction. Attendees will learn when and how to set up these assembly lines and the challenges associated with them.

Scott has been in the construction field for over 33+ years. 11 Years in California with a large concrete company and 21 years in Colorado with one of the largest mechanical contractors in the state. Scott’s background in the construction industry encompasses Foreman, Supervisor, CAD Detailer, CAD Project Leader and CAD Manager. By 2008 he was given the title as CAD Manager of a growing department. Scott was ready for his next challenge and decided to join Pinnacle Infotech in 2016. Scott oversees all North American clients in his role at Pinnacle. He brings his construction background, ability to work with others, and the ability to coordinate effectively.
Amine TouatiLeads Building Information Management at ASTAD, Amine is Sr. Architect & BIM/VDC Manager at ASTAD Project Management Qatar. He graduates from both Paris-La Villette School of Architecture and Georgia Tech University Atlanta.He was involved as BIM Coordinator and Manager on several International Iconic Projects as Foundation Louis Vuitton, Paris and Qatar National Museum, Doha. He fulfills the role of BIM strategist and BIM implementation Manager at ASTAD Project Management. The experience ASTAD has contribute to a successful BIM implementation on several iconic Qatar Foundation projects and deliver world-class Project Management services leveraging the power of BIM.
