Is your company “old school” and resistant to change? We feel your pain. We live your nightmare. Impacting culture change is difficult, stressful, and at times hopeless, and if it’s not addressed, it can cause a dire situation. This class will dive into the processes, technology, and teamwork that went into taking a company that was resistant to change, to a company that embraces technology implementation and utilization. This is a story of a construction company stuck in its ways, and it tells how the implementation of BIM 360 Docs software, BIM 360 Glue software, and BIM 360 Build software changed the way we build projects, exchange information, collaborate, and establish more-efficient processes.

  • Chad Holbrook
    Chad has been in the construction industry since he was in high school. Working in the field at a young age helped solidify an understanding of the construction process and open his eyes to better ways of doing things. Always looking at issues with the mindset of creating an opportunity to implement a solution, Chad focused on learning technology in college. His academic program in college was one of the first beta test sites for Revit when it was just a small startup program on a cheaply-made CD-ROM. Fast forward "a few years" and Chad was thrown into the world of BIM. He started his BIM career on a large, new construction hospital project in Northern Indiana. Since then, he has worked all over the country on projects, implementing technology solutions and leading 3D coordination efforts. Today he leads a team of innovative thinkers who support company initiatives, project teams and investigate new technologies and how they can positively impact the construction process.

    Stephen Bessette is a Construction Subject Matter Expert for Autodesk, Inc., providing customer assistance for the Autodesk Construction Cloud product line, Navisworks software, Revit software, and Advance Steel software. He is a graduate of the NHTI Architectural Engineering Technology program, as well as a certified computer-aided draftsman. Bessette has over 15 years of experience within the design and construction industry, including fire protection design, residential design, construction management and estimating, land surveying, quality control of construction materials, and structural steel inspection. In addition, Stephen has instructed technical classes for AutoCAD software and its 3D functionalities at NHTI in Concord, New Hampshire.
