During the course of a project,
00:05
there may be times when you need to share your drawing with various stakeholders.
00:09
But sometimes that isn't possible
00:11
whether it's due to regulations, rules or restrictions,
00:14
you can't send the files and static screenshots won't satisfy the stakeholder
00:19
Autocad has a terrific solution that allows you to share your drawing via the cloud.
00:24
You can get to it by clicking on the collaborate tab of the ribbon
00:28
on the left side in the share panel, you'll find the share drawing tool.
00:32
I'll click on it to display the share drawing, dialogue,
00:36
share drawing,
00:36
creates a copy of the current drawing to either view or edit in the Autocad web app.
00:41
All related drawing, X refs, images, fonts etc
00:45
are included.
00:46
You have two options to create your shared drawing.
00:49
You can make it view only so that the people you send it to can't make any changes.
00:54
Or if you prefer,
00:55
you can choose the edit and save copy option.
00:58
I'll be using the view only option.
01:01
Just click on the copy link button to place
01:03
the unique URL onto your clipboard so that you
01:05
can easily send it via email or even your
01:08
favorite text messaging system such as teams or slack,
01:11
the link will expire seven days after it's created.
01:15
You can also preview your share drawing in the
01:17
Autocad web app by clicking on the preview button.
01:20
Let's do that. Now,
01:22
if it's not already open,
01:23
your default browser will fire up with the web app in a new tab.
01:28
You'll need to log in with your Autodesk account
01:30
and your shared file will be open.
01:32
Also, there are some file size limitations you should know about
01:36
the host drawing or any single reference drawing cannot exceed 50 megabytes.
01:41
And the total size of all uploaded drawings can't exceed 200 meg.
