transmit as a stand alone tool,

but it's also available from the sheet set manager.

Let's look at both methods.

First is the stand alone application.

You can find the transmit tool from the application menu.

Hover over publish and click on transmit.

The transmit tool always opens with pre populated file info.

This means that you can't get to it from the start menu.

You have to have a file open

it must be a named and saved file. Just clicking new won't work.

Let me show you what happens first though.

Close the transmit dialogue by clicking on cancel.

I'll start a new drawing by clicking on the plus button in the file tabs area.

Now I'll access the transmit command

that will force the dialogue that you see here to display.

It's the prompt that tells you you have to save the drawing file first.

This warning will also appear in a saved file that has unsafe changes.

So I've been careful not to do anything to the floor plan sample that we've opened.

If you see an asterisk next to its name in the file tab, I suggest you close it

and reopen it so that the save changes, warning won't appear

Now, I'll run the transmit command and you'll see the create transmittal dialogue

The other way to access and use et transmit is via the sheet set manager

I'll go to the view tab and open the sheet set manager. Pallet.

I have a sheet set file to use.

It's within the civil files folder in the supplied data set.

Click on the file, pull down, select open

and select the civil project DST file from the folder and then click open.

I'll open the sheet set and you can see it contains nearly 20 files.

You can click on the top level sheet set file

and you'll find transmit in the pop up menu.

You'll get a gathering information box, the more files you have,

You'll get the transmit dialogue with the entire sheet set populated in it.
