If you are an individual user with Desktop Connector version 15 already installed, you can easily upgrade to version 16.

First, however, you must uninstall version 15 of the software and delete your workspace.

In the tray, hover the cursor over the Desktop Connector icon to view your current version—in this case, it is v15.8.

As you can see here, if you do not uninstall the previous version 15 software before attempting to install version 16,

a warning dialog informs you of a product conflict and instructs you to uninstall the previous version.

Click Exit.

You can uninstall Desktop Connector just as you would for any other software.

First, exit the application.

In the tray, right-click Desktop Connector and select Exit.

Then, open Control Panel, and under Programs, click Uninstall a program.

In the Programs and Features dialog, select Autodesk Desktop Connector, and click Uninstall.

Click Yes to confirm, then click Uninstall.

When complete, click Finish.

Next, if your workspace for v15 still exists, then you need to delete it.

It is recommended that you back up your workspace before deleting it.

To delete your workspace, download and unzip the v15 Reset Utility.

Drag the ResetDesktopConnector folder to your desktop, open the folder, and then double-click ResetDesktopConnector.exe.

A warning indicates that the utility will delete the files and folders in your local workspace.
