With Autodesk Point Layout, you can create a DXF,

or a Drawing Exchange Format file, that includes all points in the current view of your Revit model.

DXF is a widely compatible format that can be shared easily among different software programs.

First, turn off all annotations except for grids.

With your Revit model open to the desired view, press VG to open the Visibility/Graphic Overrides dialog.

On the Annotation Categories tab, click All to highlight all annotations,

then click any of the Visibility selection boxes twice to select all, and then deselect all.

Next, scroll down and select Grids.

Click Apply, and then click OK.

To create the DXF, from the ribbon, Autodesk Point Layout tab, select Create DXF.

In the Select View dialog, use the Filter field to search for and select the currently open view.

Then, in the Output Scale dialog, specify the output units—in this case, select Feet to match the point file.

From the Coordinate System dialog, select whether you want to use Project or Shared coordinates for the exported DXF.
