In the Autodesk Construction Cloud, the Reviews tool facilitates and automates the distribution of project files to project members,
00:11
streamlining the review and approval process.
00:15
Once a project administrator has created an approval workflow,
00:19
assigned members can use it to initiate the review and approval of project files.
00:24
Members designated as reviewers can then review and comment on the files,
00:29
and members designated as approvers can give final approval for the files to be used.
00:35
To initiate a review of project files, begin with your project open in ACC Docs and an approval workflow already created.
00:45
In the navigation panel, select Reviews, then click Create review.
00:51
In the Add Files dialog, expand your project directory and select the appropriate project files.
00:59
Click Create.
01:01
In the Submit for review dialog,
01:03
expand the Approval workflow drop-down and select a predefined template—in this case, Region Review.
01:11
Type a name for the review, then click Submit.
01:17
In the Send email notification dialog, confirm the notification settings for reviewers.
01:23
Optionally, you can choose to notify additional project members or include a message.
01:29
Click Send.
01:32
You can then review or approve files sent to you as part of that approval workflow.
01:38
To explore the review and approval process, return to the Reviews tool, where you can see the reviews available to you.
01:46
Click a review to open it.
01:49
The review steps display at the top of the page, with the current step highlighted—here, Initial Review 1.
01:57
You can also access the list of files for review.
02:01
Simply click a file to open it.
02:05
To begin reviewing files, click Start review.
02:10
A confirmation dialog tells you that other reviewers cannot act unless you delegate the review.
02:17
Again, click Start review.
02:20
For each file, you can add Comments and Markups, as well as review Progress and Activity.
02:27
Once you have finished, click Submit review.
02:31
In the Submit review dialog, add a note, if needed, and then click Submit.
02:37
The Send email notification dialog displays for the next step, Initial Review 2,
02:43
and you can configure the options or add a note for the next set of reviewers.
02:48
Click Send.
02:51
Back on the review page, Initial Review 1 is marked complete, and Initial Review 2 is now highlighted.
02:59
Click Start review and follow the same steps as for Initial Review 1.
03:04
Proceed with the Final Review, and notice the added Review status column.
03:10
After reviewing the files, expand this drop-down for each and select Approved, Rejected, or Approved w/comments.
03:19
Once completed, click Submit review, and then Submit.
03:25
Now, you see that each file with a Review status of Approved or Approved with comments is copied to a predefined folder location,
03:34
based on the action defined in the current workflow.
03:38
When a review is closed,
03:40
project administrators and members with View/Upload permissions or higher can create a transmittal directly from the review.
03:48
In the Reviews tool, click a review with a Closed status to open it.
03:53
Select the files you wish to include in the transmittal, then click Transmittal.
03:59
In the Create transmittal dialog, enter the relevant details, such as the Title and Recipients, and then click Create.
04:08

Members are not notified for actions that they perform.
04:47
Candidate reviewers will not receive any email notifications;
04:51
only reviewers who participate in a review will receive relevant email notifications.
04:57
Now, you can use the Reviews tool to initiate a review of project files, provide feedback, and submit approvals,
05:05
as well as manage the associated notifications during the review process.
