In the early days of CAD, we made 2D creations of designs. Then came the era of creating models in 3D. Now, the next phase is connected BIM (Building Information Modeling). This era is about building applications and solutions that connect a community of people to a project or product, and to the new means of production. In this era, you can optimize a design not only for how it functions, but for how it is built and interconnects with other systems, as well as in the cloud. This class will showcase how users can utilize the power of the cloud using Revit software and BIM 360 software. It will also showcase how the users can customize the information present in BIM 360 using Forge and how they can make their own customized apps.

    Shruti has been a part of the Architecture and construction industry for 5 years. After graduating as a civil engineer, she worked as a structural engineer in power plant industry in Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd for more than 3 years, designing structures for international as well as domestic projects. Realizing the potential of software integration, 3D revolution and BIM in construction industry, she became a part of the adoption team in her organization, gaining the technical skills required for the same. Currently for the past 1 year, she is a part of the Enterprise Priority Support team in Autodesk, supporting AEC products like Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360. She has solved more than 1000 cases (support tickets) for enterprise customers in the APAC and EMEA region and continues to be an Autodesk ambassador providing quality support.
